Test Lead 🎯 

Location: Sunderland (hybrid, 3 days in the office)
Permanent, full-time

We’re looking for a Test Lead who can take testing at tombola further than ever before. This is about more than test cycles, it’s about setting the strategy, driving automation, and creating the right environment for our testers to thrive.

What you’ll be doing 🔧

• Leading, mentoring and supporting our test team, helping them grow their skills and careers
• Driving our test strategy from automation frameworks to quality processes, making sure testing keeps pace with our growth
• Getting hands on with automation where needed while guiding the team towards smarter, scalable solutions
• Working closely with developers and stakeholders to keep quality built in, not bolted on
• Coordinating releases and making sure pre and post release checks run smoothly
• Spotting potential risks in how we work, finding ways to reduce them and challenging us to keep improving
• Reporting on quality metrics, sharing insights and keeping senior management in the loop
• Keeping an eye on industry trends and introducing new tools, practices or ideas that can raise the bar

What we’re looking for 🔍

• Leadership first. Strong background in leading teams and shaping strategy, not just overseeing tasks
• Automation experience. Confident working with frameworks and driving automation forward without losing sight of other quality approaches
• Stakeholder savvy. Strong communicator and relationship builder who can influence across teams and levels
• Continuous improvement mindset. Someone who is proactive, curious and always looking for better ways of working
• Experience testing Android and iOS apps & working with legacy systems at scale, (nice to have)
