At tombola, payroll isn’t just a process — it’s a promise to our people. We’re looking for a Payroll Specialist to help deliver accurate, timely, and seamless payroll across multiple countries, supporting our growing international team in the UK, Ireland, Malta, Portugal, Ceuta, and Spain.

🔍 What You’ll Be Doing
As a Payroll Specialist, you’ll take ownership of end-to-end payroll processes, including:
- Preparing and processing data for multiple regional payrolls
- Conducting detailed checks to ensure payroll accuracy
- Liaising with external providers, tax offices, and pension schemes
- Running period-end and year-end tasks, including statutory returns
- Investigating payroll queries and supporting colleagues with empathy and clarity
- Working with Finance on reconciliations and reporting
- Maintaining clear documentation and identifying ways to simplify and improve our payroll processes
🧠 What You’ll Bring
✅ Essential:
- Experience in high-volume payroll environments
- Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation (PAYE, NI, RTI, Auto Enrolment)
- Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple deadlines
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information
🌍 Nice to have:
- International payroll experience (especially ROI, Malta, Spain, or Portugal)
- Retail or multi-site payroll experience
- Familiarity with Zellis ResourceLink
- Understanding of payroll-related accounting and reporting
